HAPS is a theater festival established in 1996 as an event that gathered mainly amateur theater companies, founded with the desire to strengthen the tradition of culture and art in Herceg Novi. Since 2002, the festival has taken on a more serious shape and entered the process of professionalization, together with its long-time organizer Theater of Herceg Novi and thanks to that, the event has since then included the gathering of professional theater artists and ensembles from the region and beyond, as well as many fans of this art form. 

The festival program consists of high-quality theatrical performances, as well as a diverse supporting program, and thus HAPS has become a "favorite" of participants, the audience and the media.

This year's festival will start on the 17th and will last until the 30th of April. Due to the corona virus pandemic, the realization of the festival was postponed for the past two years, so this year's concept is based on the previously announced concept "THEATER AND MUSIC".
