If you think summer in Herceg Novi ends with the last weekend of August \u2013 we have good news: September may just be the most beautiful time to be here.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The sea is still warm, the sun is no longer as intense as it is in the height of summer, evenings are perfect for a walk along the coast, and the town takes on a special atmosphere that is hard to describe \u2013 fewer crowds, more space to enjoy yourself, and plenty of reasons to ask yourself every evening: \u201cWhat shall we do tonight?<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n

And we have a very tempting answer.<\/p>\n\n

From 4 to 9 September, <\/strong> Herceg Novi becomes a regional centre of the ninth art.<\/p>\n\n

The jubilee 20th Herceg Novi Comic Book Festival<\/strong> brings artists, authors and comic book lovers from around the world to the city. The squares will come alive with drawing, comic book exchanges and meetings with artists, while galleries will host exhibitions. One of this year\u2019s special guests is Riccardo Secchi<\/strong>, <\/p>\n\n

the screenwriter of the legendary Alan Ford.<\/em> For many generations across the former Yugoslavia, Alan Ford is more than just a comic \u2013 it is a part of growing up. <\/p>\n\n

And then, when night falls\u2026 Forte Mare<\/strong> takes the stage. On the opening night of the festival, NeonoeN and Partibrejkers<\/strong> will perform, followed the next day by Jura Stubli\u0107 & Film<\/strong>, while Rambo Amadeus Quintet<\/strong> will take the stage at the fortress on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n

If the beginning of September is reserved for comics, music and a healthy dose of nostalgia, from 18 to 20 September <\/strong> Herceg Novi takes on a completely different energy. The first summer edition of the international multicultural festival Castelwave <\/strong>will take place at the House of Nobel laureate Ivo Andri\u0107. <\/p>\n\n

Over three days, artists and performers from Japan, Germany, Turkey and Serbia <\/strong>will come to our town, bringing different cultures together. And that is precisely what makes September in Herceg Novi so special: one moment you are sitting by the sea with a glass of wine, and just a few hours later you can step into a completely different world of art and culture.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

There is another reason why we love September. The town is no longer as crowded as it is at the height of the season, but summer has not left just yet. You can take a leisurely walk along the Pet Danica promenade. Climb the steps of the Old Town. Stop at Belavista. Sit down for a coffee with a view of the sea. Or simply \u2013 do nothing. And in Herceg Novi, doing \u201cnothing\u201d can actually be a very good plan. <\/p>\n\n

Because September is the month for those who want the sea without the crowds, dinners without waiting, walks without rushing, and evenings that spontaneously turn into nights out<\/strong>. Herceg Novi in September does not ask you to have a plan. Summer may last a long time, but September has something August does not. It has balance. It has balance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Warm enough for the sea. Lively enough for a night out. Peaceful enough for a proper holiday. So, if you have saved a few days of holiday for the end of summer this year \u2013 don\u2019t spend them just anywhere. Come to Herceg Novi. <\/p>\n\n
